A drive
south of Perth down the west coast provides beautiful scenery and
interaction with nature.

Deb
shows where the Indian and the Southern Oceans meet.
Along the
sandy track to the ocean, a blue-tongued lizard (or 'bobtail') crosses
our path. Deb tells me if they bite you, they NEVER let go. Once surgeons
remove the reptile from you, the wound apparently never fully heals
and periodically oozes. Two more lurk in the bush further along the
path.
Debs friends host a
fantastic fiesta. Here in Australia, Mexican food is hip and trendy.
